Sarah LouiseMyself and my partner, Andy, took our 3 girls to Arttastic for a Sunday craft afternoon. All 3 girls decided they wanted to do large canvas paintings. We all had so much fun. The girls had a great time drawing and then painting their pictures. Both Andy and myself helped them whilst drinking tea and eating the cakes that were kindly supplied. We all decided we would come back again and we would definitely recommend it. Gina was so friendly and super helpful. I am looking at going back for some extra classes. Jill ScaifeHad a fantastic time getting creative with my friend at Arttastic’s Craftanoon session! Such an inspiring space, lucky to have it just down the road and loved the sound of all the craft activities on offer. It was hard to narrow it down, there were so many to choose from and the “menu” helpfully provided information of which age groups each craft was suitable for which will be useful for parents. We had to go for making polymer clay jewellery. We were provided with all the materials and a detailed outline of how to work with the medium before we got stared; Gina made us feel very welcome and kept popping back to check we were doing okay and offer tips and advice so we could get the outcome we were aiming for. We were offered hot drinks and cakes which were lovely and there’s tons of art all over the walls, created by Gina herself or by the current local featured artists which is a brilliant touch and so inspiring. We’ll be back for more ASAP!!

Jesmonite Workshop: Creating Cute Gifts Join us for a fun and creative workshop where you'll learn how to craft adorable Eco friendly gifts using Jesmonite! Perfect for beginners (tweens and up), this hands-on session will guide you through the process of making unique and charming items that are perfect for gifting. There will be a demonstration of how to mix Jesmonite base and hardener - Adding pigments to achieve desired colours - Techniques for achieving marbling and other effects. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a couple of beautifully crafted, personalised Jesmonite gifts ready to be given to that someone special. We can't wait to see your creative ideas come to life!

Welcome to our two-part workshop on creating a stunning statement wall art or table top piece! This workshop is perfect for all resin lovers and we will guide you through the process of creating a beautiful resin art piece. Here's a breakdown of what you'll be doing in each session: Prerequisite Before attending this workshop, participants must complete a beginners resin course to familiarize themselves with the basic techniques and safety measures. Session 1: Creating the Resin Base/Background 1. Introduction to Materials and Tools - Overview of resin types - Safety precautions and proper handling of resin - Tools needed: mixing cups, stirring sticks, heat gun, gloves, etc. 2. Design Planning - Sketching your design ideas on paper - Selecting colour schemes and materials (mica powders, pigment pastes, gems, etc.) 3. Creating the Resin Base - Preparing the workspace - Mixing resin and hardener - Adding mica powders and pigment pastes for colour - Pouring the resin onto your canvas or surface - Using tools to create patterns and effects - Embedding gems and other embellishments into the resin - Allowing the base to cure. Session 2: Adding Details and Finishing 1. Preparation - Reviewing cured resin bases - Setting up the workspace for painting 2. Acrylic Painting - Introduction to acrylic paints and brushes - Techniques for painting on resin surfaces - Creating your main design with acrylics on the resin base - Allowing the paint to dry 3. Final Resin Clear Coat - Mixing a new batch of clear resin - Pouring the clear coat over the painted design - Ensuring an even and bubble-free application - Using a heat gun to remove bubbles and smooth the surface - Final curing process 4. Finishing Touches - Tips on framing and displaying your artwork - Care instructions for maintaining resin art By the end of this workshop, you'll have a unique and beautiful piece of wall art that combines the depth and brilliance of resin with the expressive detail of acrylic painting.
